The ArtPride New Jersey Foundation seeks energetic and qualified candidates for the following adjunct staff positions for its Discover Jersey Arts program -- a project co-sponsored with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts dedicated to increasing the awareness of and participation in the arts in New Jersey.

Arts Marketing and Communications Associate (full-time)
Job Description
This key staff member works in close collaboration with the Program Manager on the development and implementation of this project designed to increase the awareness of and participation in the arts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing web content for JerseyArts.com; creating email marketing campaigns; coordinating ad traffic for seasonal marketing campaigns; tracking campaign response rates; acting as liaison with graphic designers and web programmers; and assisting in the preparation, set-up and staffing of festivals, trade shows and other public events.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Arts related field of study; 2 years experience working in the arts, marketing or public relations; and a passion for the arts required. Candidates should possess strong computer skills and be well versed in web technologies; have excellent written and verbal communications skills; and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of Photoshop, In Design, and Dreamweaver is essential. Some travel within the region is necessary; therefore candidates should have a car, valid driver’s license and insurance. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Salary

Commensurate with experience plus benefits package.

Summer Street Team (part-time)
Job Description
Looking for a fun, part-time summer job? Join our Summer Street Team and help spread the word about the arts in New Jersey at festivals, theater performances and gallery openings. Responsible for signing up new Jersey Arts Ticket members and assisting with promotional giveaways at events. Schedule is very flexible.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be reliable, personable and comfortable interacting with the public. A passion for the arts is a real plus! Would be responsible for own travel to scheduled events.

Salary

$8.00 per/hour

Marketing and Promotions Intern (part-time)
Job Description
This summer intern will work closely with the Discover Jersey Arts program staff on a wide variety of tasks associated with the implementation of this high-profile statewide arts marketing campaign including, but not limited to: web content development, ad design and trafficking, and general event support. Schedule is flexible but assigned work must be completed to meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications
Ideal applicant should be entering their junior or senior year of college pursuing a degree in Communications, English, Arts Administration, or related field of study; be detailed oriented, possess strong written and verbal communications skills, demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines and show a strong interest in the arts. Knowledge of Photoshop, In Design and Dreamweaver a plus but not essential.

Salary

Unpaid - available for credit when applicable.
